Hydrogen Vehicle Refuelling.

Produce, compress, store and dispense hydrogen on site for private 700-bar vehicle refuelling.

New Zealand Hydrogen packages the equipment needed to turn electricity and treated water into vehicle fuel at the place your fleet returns each day.

Each refueller combines hydrogen production with gas preparation, compression, buffer storage, dispensing and system controls. The installation is planned around the fleet’s real daily demand and refill schedule.

Choose a nominal production capacity of 5 or 10 kg per day, then configure storage and dispensing to suit compatible passenger FCEVs and the requirements of the site.

Note that custom quantities and performance levels can be provided as needed. Contact us for more details.

From Water and Electricity to Vehicle Fuel

A complete refuelling system coordinates each stage of the hydrogen pathway.

  • Produce. An electrolyser uses electricity and filtered water to generate hydrogen.
  • Prepare. The gas is dried and conditioned for the required vehicle-fuel specification.
  • Compress and store. Hydrogen accumulates in buffer storage between vehicle visits.
  • Dispense. Dispensing equipment compatible with the required vehicles manages the 700-bar fill.
  • Monitor. Controls track production, storage, system availability and faults.

Production rate, storage capacity and dispensing performance are matched as a system. Buffer storage allows fuel to be produced steadily and made available when vehicles return to base.

Match Production to Daily Demand

The right refueller depends on how much hydrogen the fleet uses and when each vehicle needs to fill.

The 5 kg and 10 kg daily production options provide practical starting points for small return-to-base FCEV fleets. Actual fleet capacity depends on vehicle tank size, kilometres travelled, refill timing, reserve policy and future growth.

New Zealand Hydrogen can model the operating profile, identify the required buffer storage and configure dispensing around the customer’s preferred refill pattern.

A good design begins with the fleet schedule, not a single headline production figure.

Plan the Complete Refuelling Installation

Every project requires site-specific engineering, safety and commercial assessment.

Planning covers electricity and filtered water supply, equipment location, vehicle movements, separation distances, ventilation, hazardous areas, consenting, emergency response, maintenance access and operator training.

The hydrogen quality, dispenser connection and fill protocol must also be compatible with the intended vehicles. A stated 700-bar pressure does not by itself confirm compatibility with every FCEV or refill pattern.
